Roberta Matern, MD: Family Medicine

Dr. Roberta Matern, MD, completed medical school at Mayo Medical School in Rochester, MN. She completed her family practice internship and her residency programs at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. She also completed a faculty development fellowship program at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She completed her fellowship in obstetrics and advanced women’s health in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Matern is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. In 2011, she received Family Medicine Teacher of the year through the University of Arizona. She holds a fellow professional membership with the American Academy of Family Medicine. She serves as an Assistant Professor, Family & Community Medicine at University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix, AZ.

Dr. Matern, a District Medical Group (DMG) physician, is available for consultation at Valleywise Health. She maintains clinical interests in providing prenatal care and deliveries, Nexplanon, 1up, EMB, coloscopy, limited OB ultrasound, skin biopsies, cryotherapy, women’s health, obstetrical, couplet, refugee, and pediatric care.
