We pushed for a lot of firsts because You’re More to Us. Not only have we been providing care to you since before Arizona was a state, we established ourselves as the first Level I trauma center, the first burn center and the first medical residency program in the state. Today nearly every doctor practicing in Arizona who trained here, did so within our walls, and nearly every severe burn patient within the Southwest comes under our care.

We embrace unique health care challenges because You’re More to Us. Since our first days as a convalescent home, we were the only facility to welcome tuberculosis and smallpox patients. And, in the 1990s, we became the first clinic to accept and treat HIV/AidsAIDS/HIV patients. Today we operate the largest HIV/Aids primary care clinic in the state, creating a safe and supportive health care environment dedicated solely to the needs of these valued patients.

I am forever grateful for Dr. Foster, countless physician assistants, nurses, therapists and everyone at Valleywise Health for helping me through the recovery process. They all worked together to devise a plan to set me up for the rest of my life.”
When we got to Valleywise, the doctors took action right away. This burn center is incredible and the medical team knew they needed to act fast. [...] I wouldn’t want Westyn to be at any other facility. The Valleywise team treated my son like he was their son. He’s going to have surgery throughout his life as he grows, but I cannot imagine going anywhere but Valleywise. They saved my son’s life and for that I am forever grateful.
I’m so grateful for them and to be able to work side by side with these people that really, truly are my heroes is the coolest thing in the whole world. [...] I think it’s a really cool field that I have found that burn is my passion and I think it’s a calling that I have in my life and I belong there.
The child life specialists were very friendly, but also very honest with us. When Leah expressed that she was worried or scared, they didn’t diminish her feelings. They talked her through it and, while they may not have always told her what she wanted to hear, they were always truthful, which helped Leah process all the experiences.
Valleywise Health aims to provide opportunities for growth within our staff and my journey is a testament to that. I am blessed to have been part of many changes, as well as, see how much the organization has grown in the last six years. The company’s vision of serving underserved communities really hit close to home because I grew up in a Hispanic household where free services, like backpack drives, helped my parents a lot financially when I was a child.
We believe in the inherent right to quality health care for all and recognize Valleywise Health’s essential role in our community as a safety net system. Our family is proud to support the expansion of their telehealth services, offering access to care for patients all across the Valley, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay.
We support Valleywise Health because we believe it is our responsibility to help children and families who are suffering in our community. The demand for mental health counseling has rapidly increased over the last few years, and many of those affected cannot afford the services they need. We are proud to support Valleywise Health to provide exceptional care, without exception, to every patient, every time.
