Brian Arey, MSN, ANP, BC, is a nurse practitioner and HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) specialist who is board certified in Adult Primary Care through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Brian first earned his HIV specialist certification through the American Academy of HIV Medicine in 2002. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Yale University School of Nursing, and later he completed an HIV fellowship training at the Nicholas Rango HIV Scholars Program through the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.
Brian cared for HIV-positive patients at Albany Medical Center and was a speaker for the AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) and Community Education Initiative (CEI) of the New York State Department of Health. Since 2004, he has provided full-time clinical care for HIV-positive patients at Valleywise Health Center – McDowell, the largest Ryan White provider in the state of Arizona.
