When it comes to your health, feel confident knowing there’s nothing standing in the way of getting the care you need. The Valleywise Community Health Center – McDowell is a space where all are welcome. You can always find compassionate care and ongoing support.

In addition to our general service offerings (including dental care and behavioral health care) this location also serves as an HIV specialty clinic. We want to help all people around the Valley live long and happy lives, no matter what their HIV status is. If you or a loved one are in need of HIV testing or treatment, the Valleywise Community Health Center – McDowell is here to offer complete support and specialized care.

  • Primary outpatient medical care provided on-site, including prevention, early intervention, and outpatient treatment to those at risk of or infected with HIV/AIDS
  • Assessment, planning and coordination of care for HIV/AIDS patients

Appointment Checklist

In order to make sure your experience is as smooth as possible, we suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to your first appointment and 15 minutes ahead of time for all following appointments. Remember to bring the following items with you:

  • Your current insurance or AHCCCS card.
  • Your insurance co-pay, deductible or payment in full if you are not covered by insurance. We will collect your payment at check in.
  • A valid photo ID. This can be a driver’s license, passport, military ID, employment badge or student ID.
  • If you need to reschedule your appointment, no problem – please just make sure you call us and let us know at least 24 hours ahead of time.

How to Pay

You can always find treatment at an affordable price here, regardless of your ability to pay. If you don’t have insurance, don’t stress – we’ll make sure your health care is affordable using our Sliding Fee Discount Program and other resources.
