Updates to Our Financial Assistance Program

At Valleywise Health, we believe everyone should be able to get the care they need, regardless of their ability to pay.

We know that changes in insurance, income, or other life events can make it harder to pay for health care. That’s why we are making changes to help make care more affordable, costs easier to understand, and it simpler for patients to get the care they need.

Starting November 9, 2026, Valleywise Health is updating its Financial Assistance and Uninsured Discount Program fees. These new fees are meant to make care more affordable and help patients know what to expect when it comes to costs.

Many laboratory and imaging services will cost less. Most procedures done during an office visit will be included in the visit fee. Prenatal care packages will also be more affordable. Vaccines given during a patient visit are included in the visit fee, except in a few special cases.

Our goal at Valleywise is simple: your financial circumstances should not stop you or your family from getting the care you need.

What You Should Know

  • Office visit fees are not changing for patients in Financial Assistance Categories 1 through 4. Fees remain $25, $50, $60 and $70, depending on household income and eligibility.
  • Many lab and imaging tests will cost less. The new prices are simple and easy to understand. Lab tests now cost between $5 and $20. Imaging tests cost between $5 and $25.
  • Vaccines given during your visit are included in your visit fee. You do not pay extra for most vaccines, except for the flu shot. If you come in just for a flu shot, it costs $20 for a regular flu shot or $60 for a high-dose flu shot.
  • Most procedures done in the office are included in your visit fee. This helps you get the care you need in one visit without extra costs for most services. Some services have separate fees, like IUDs, Nexplanon, and newborn circumcision.
  • Prenatal care is now much more affordable. The prenatal care package now costs between $100 and $400 for Categories 1 through 4, depending on your household income and eligibility. Before, these packages cost between $750 and $900.
  • You can get financial help based on your household income and family size. There are four financial assistance categories for people who qualify and have a household income up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

If you do not have insurance, have lost your health coverage, or your financial circumstances have changed, do not wait to get the care you or your family need. Valleywise Health can help you learn about your options and see if you can get financial help.
