Dental Residency Program
Our Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency Program offers a rigorous blend of clinical and didactic training, designed to prepare you as a primary oral health provider. Over the course of a year, you will gain hands-on experience across a diverse patient population, including those with complex medical histories and special needs, setting a solid foundation for your career in dentistry.
Our residency uniquely integrates dentistry with broader medical care, offering you a holistic view of health that extends beyond the dental chair. You will collaborate with medical professionals across specialties, gaining invaluable insights into comprehensive patient care. This experience is enriched through rotations in specialized clinics, including our Comprehensive Health Center (CHC)-Phoenix for diverse medical collaborations, CHC-Peoria for ambulatory surgical care exposure, and the McDowell clinic, focusing on comprehensive care for patients living with HIV/AIDS. This interprofessional approach not only enhances your dental expertise but also prepares you for a dynamic career in health care.
Applicants must be graduates from a CODA-accredited dental school, ready to embrace the challenges of advanced dental practice. A commitment to learning and the ability to pass a background check are essential for joining our team of emerging dental professionals.
