Maricopa Integrated Health System is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael White, MD, as its new Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer (EVP, CMO).
Dr. White, who began his new post Aug. 12, will be instrumental in advancing the Mission, Vision and Values of MIHS (soon to be Valleywise Health) to improve clinical outcomes, enhance patient experience, and to grow key programs. In this role, Dr. White will also serve as a liaison with our partners at District Medical Group and the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance.

Dr. White most recently served as Chief Academic Officer at CHI Health in Omaha Nebraska, a non-profit, faith-based health system providing services in Nebraska and Southwest Iowa. CHI Health is a market-based organization of CommonSpirit Health which is located in 18 states with 101 hospitals, including three academic health centers and major teaching hospitals. Dr. White has also held the role of Associate Dean for Education Innovation at Creighton University School of Medicine also in Omaha Nebraska since 2015.
Dr. White is a practicing interventional cardiologist. He is board certified in interventional cardiology. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Creighton University. Dr. White received his medical degree from the Creighton University School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease. He completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. White is received his MBA degree from Creighton University, earlier this year.
