David Yao, MD

Dr. David Yao is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is also Cosmetic Fellowship sub-specialized trained with an emphasis on the face, breast, and body.  Dr. Yao attended the University of California, San Diego and received his bachelor’s degree in Physiology. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine) in Richmond, Virginia. After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Yao relocated to Arizona and trained in the General Surgery Residency at Maricopa Integrated Health Systems (Valleywise Medical Center).

He completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He then completed a prestigious Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital (Lenox Hill Hospital/NYU). Starting practice in 2009 in Minnesota, Dr. Yao held the position of Attending Plastic Surgeon at Mayo Health System. In 2011, Dr. Yao returned to Arizona starting a group plastic surgery private practice serving the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas.
