When you need health care, you shouldn’t have to worry about who to call. After humbly serving the community for over 140 years, we’ve been known by a variety of different names. Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS) was too long and not easy to remember. Our new name helps describe who we are and what we do and helps people remember who they can turn to when they need care.
We proudly serve the communities in the Valley of the Sun and we strive to do so wisely. We also want to share our knowledge and wisdom about good health care to those we serve so they can make wise choices.
Renaming and re-branding a healthcare system is a complicated process. We partnered with Seigal+Gale, a leading brand agency, to lead research and development efforts that included people within our system and hundreds of people throughout the community.
No, the name change is simply our way of creating a stronger identity. Our organization is still part of the Maricopa County Special Health Care District.
