Valleywise Health Celebrates Five Years of Care In Peoria

Comprehensive Health Center has expanded access to primary, specialty and family support services in the West Valley

PEORIA, Ariz. (April 28, 2026) – Valleywise Health is celebrating the five-year anniversary of Valleywise Comprehensive Health Center – Peoria, a milestone that reflects growing demand for high-quality, affordable healthcare in the West Valley and the organization’s long-term commitment to bringing care closer to the communities that need it most.

Opened in 2021, the 126,000-square-foot center was the first major project completed as part of Valleywise Health’s Care Reimagined transformation. Designed to expand access beyond traditional neighborhood clinic services, the Peoria location offers primary care, pediatrics, women’s health, dental care, pain management, cardiology, dialysis, pharmacy, imaging, surgery, orthopedics and other specialty services under one roof.

Since opening, the center has experienced significant growth. Total patient encounters increased from 241,532 in 2021 to 422,216 in 2025, a 75% increase as more West Valley residents turned to Valleywise Health for care.

“When we opened this center five years ago, we believed the West Valley needed greater access to comprehensive healthcare services close to home, and the response from the community has confirmed that vision,” said Steve Purves, president and CEO of Valleywise Health. “This center represents exactly what Valleywise Health strives to do every day – remove barriers to care, meet people where they are and provide exceptional care, without exception, every patient, every time.”

Over the past five years, the Peoria center has delivered measurable impact across multiple services, including:

  • Approximately 42,000 dialysis treatments provided
  • More than 256,000 lab tests completed since April 2021
  • 67,570 prescriptions filled in 2025, more than double the number filled in 2021
  • 973 Family Resource Center classes offered since opening
  • 1,811 backpacks filled with school supplies over five summers for local families

The facility also includes a Family Resource Center that connects families with classes, resources and referrals related to parenting, nutrition, child development, insurance enrollment and other community needs.

Today, Valleywise Comprehensive Health Center – Peoria remains a cornerstone of healthcare access in the rapidly growing West Valley, helping ensure residents can receive coordinated care in one convenient location.
