Valleywise Health Welcomes Runjhun Nanchal as New SVP of Strategy, Marketing and Communications

Runjhun NanchalRunjhun Nanchal has joined Valleywise Health as Senior Vice President of Strategy, Marketing and Communications.

In her new role, Runjhun will focus on growing Valleywise Health’s presence in the community and expanding initiatives to engage current and new patients to the safety net system’s diverse healthcare services.

“I am excited and humbled by the opportunity to serve our community and spread the word about all of the amazing work Valleywise Health has been doing,” said Nanchal, who has more than 15 years of health care experience in the public and private sectors. “I look forward to raising awareness about all the quality services we provide across Maricopa County.”

Runjhun is an accomplished healthcare executive with an extensive background in spearheading organizational change and leading hospital and ambulatory service line operations. Her new position is timely, as Valleywise Health is undergoing a transformation through the Care Reimagined initiative, with new community health centers opening across the county and a new acute care hospital scheduled to open in late 2023.

Previously, she served as Chief Operating Officer for the University of Minnesota Physicians and Senior Administrator/Vice President of Ambulatory Services for Banner Health in Tucson, AZ. She was responsible for clinical and administrative operations, clinical strategy design and implementation, business development and analytics, practice acquisition and de novo growth, and performance improvement.

“I am thrilled to be joining Valleywise Health and am inspired by the passionate caregivers and employees across the organization,” Nanchal said. “It’s a very exciting time to be part of such a growing and dynamic health care system.”
