Maricopa County Special Health Care District dba Valleywise Health Behavioral Health Services hereby solicits quotations for a Board-Certified Music Therapy Instructors to provide Music Therapy Classes to Behavioral Health patients throughout the Valleywise Health Behavioral Health facilities.
The professional music therapist must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in music therapy from an AMTA-approved college or university program. The curriculum focuses on musical foundations, clinical foundations and music therapy principles as specified in the AMTA Professional Competencies. In addition to the academic coursework, the bachelor’s degree requires 1200 hours of clinical training, including a supervised internship. Graduate degrees in music therapy focus on advanced clinical practice and research. Meet and maintain state-specific requirements to practice music therapy, as amended. Current MT-BC Certification.
